MindHeart Wellness
Is a unique health and wellbeing service specializing in Creative Arts, Somatic Movement, Energy Balancing and Integrative Coaching. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where individuals can heal, grow, and thrive through creative, full body expression and subtle energy work. Led by Anita, an Artist, Registered Nurse and Mind-Body Coach with a strong background in integrative nutrition, mental health and emotional mastery.
Our goal is to support the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of individuals who may not have access to, or feel ready for traditional therapy. As well as for those who would like additional modalities to complement their current health journey.
Talk therapy can be helpful for many, but may not be as effective for trauma, science has shown that trauma is stored in the body and many times movement and creative expression can help the body get out of Fight, Flight, Freeze or Fawn mode. We aim to make therapeutic modalities approachable and enjoyable through the power of creative expression.
Services Offered
Therapeutic Art and Journaling: With a focus on emotional expression, stress reduction and self-discovery. A variety of artistic exercises and mediums will be used.
Somatic Movement and Therapeutic Dance: Movement-based sessions to activate the parasympathetic nervous system and let out stored trauma. Designed to reduce stress and anxiety, improve physical coordination and build trust and confidence in one’s own body.
Applied Kinesiology and Acupressure: Using muscle testing as bio feedback to identify areas in the body where blocked emotional energy is causing physical symptoms of dis-ease and pain. Applying the acu-points of TCM acupressure to help bring the body back into balance, helping alleviate pain, insomnia and emotional stress.
Healthy Lifestyle Classes and Coaching: Group classes, customized one-on-one coaching sessions, workshops, retreats and community events.

We are constantly bombarded with noise and clutter from the world around us. Unlimited information and screen stimulation keeps our brain and body in chronic stress. It is important for us to regularly step away from the chaos and create a calm and affirming space for us to rest our bodies and renew our thinking.
MOVEMENT AND EXPRESSION
Negative energy from emotionally stressful or painful events can be stored in our cells long after the event has passed, often causing inexplicable symptoms. Expressive art, sound, movement and energy balancing modalities are powerful ways to break up and release the emotional tension and trauma that may remain in our bodies.
